Back in 1999 a group of us began meeting to play Illuminati: New World Order and to play and playtest Steve Jackson Games. Gradually we drew in new players and expanded in what games we play. In 2002 we became affiliated with Games Club of Maryland and in 2003 we moved to the Summit Hills Apartment Complex. 2007 has seen another move, we're now meeting at Potbelly's in downtown Silver Spring.
We play a mix of light-hearted games (like Guillotine, Chez Geek, Munchkin, Apples to Apples, and Give Me the Brain) and more strategic board games (like Settlers of Catan, Puerto Rico, Carcassone, and Citadels). Current sessions are organized by Steve Quade, Ethan Goffman, Doug Hoylman, and Karl Musser. There is not a permanent game library on-site. If you want to play something specific send us an E-mail and we'll make sure someone brings it.
Sessions are on Fridays at Potbelly Sandwich Works from 7PM to 11PM. You are welcome to showup early but your hosts won't be there until closer to 7PM.
Potbelly is in heart of "restaurant row" on Ellsworth Ave, near the intersection of Colesville Rd. and Georgia Ave. Other landmarks: behind the AFI theater and City Place mall, around the corner from Panera, and next to Austin Grill. Potbelly's menu.

There are two public parking garages 1/2 block away ... Ellsworth Drv at Georgia Ave or Ellsworth Drv at Fenton St (parking is free if you don't leave before 8PM and $.50/hour otherwise). If taking the metro, walk about 2 block north on Georgia Ave until you get to Panera bread. Go under the archway to your right and you'll see all the restaurants ... Potbelly is about 4 stores down on the left.
